Abstract

The influence of phosphorus release was investigated, with the sediments from landscape lake of Meizhou Culture park as materials. The affecting factors(water disturbance, overlying water initial concentration of phosphorous, temperature, dissolved oxygen concentration and aluminium salts concentration) were investigated. The results showed that the amounts of phosphorus released from sediment increased with water disturbance and higher temperature.Dissolved oxygen had distinct influence on phosphorus release from the sediment.Higher dissolved oxygen concentration inhibited phosphorus released from the sediment, while lower dissolved oxygen concentration promoted phosphorus release. The phosphorus released from sediment were inhibited when the aluminium salts concentration was higher than 1.00 mg /L.Phosphorus released from sediment had a critical concentration(0.55mg /L).The sediment adsorbed phosphorus from overlying water whose phosphorus concentration was higher than 0.55mg /L.The sediment released phosphorus to overlying water whose phosphorus concentration was lower than 0.55mg /L.
