Abstract

UV lamp being lamp house, the photoactivity of the TiO 2 bonded active carbon(TiO 2/AC) was investigated by the degradation of dissoluble Rhodamine B.Moreover, the effects of the pH value, light intensity, temperature in reaction and initial concentration of Rhodamine B in solution on the photocatalytic reaction were discussed. The results indicated that TiO 2/AC shows high photocatalytic activity, the degradation raction of Rhodamine B fits Langmuir Hinshelwood kinetic equation, degradation rate is largely affected by pH value, initial concentration of Rhodamine B and light intensity, slightly for temperature in reaction. In research scope,pH 6 and 40W are good for the degradation reaction of Rhodamine B.
