Abstract

Objective To learn milk drinking status and milk intolerance status of undergraduates with different milk drinking patterns,in order to find out reasonable milk drinking pattern and provide basic data for increasing this group's intake of milk. Methods By using cluster sampling method,100 undergraduates were selected and tested about milk intolerance symptoms after having drunk 25 g milk powder(including 6.25 g lactose)in 4 different milk drinking patterns. Results The prevalence rate of milk intolerance symptom were 27.6%,23.7%,13.7% and 23.7% by drinking milk with empty stomach in the morning, with breakfast, with regular meal,2 hours after regular meal, respectively. The prevalence of milk intolerance was highest when drinking milk with empty stomach in the morning, and it was lowest when drinking milk with regular meal, the difference was significant(χ2=6.16,P0.05).Conclusion Most undergraduates can endure 25 g milk powder.Different milk drinking pattern has different milk intolerance prevalence rate.We suggest don't drink milk with empty stomach.
