Culture and Enlightenment——Dialectical Concept of Culture of Adorno

Generally,Adorno's critique of cultural industry is regarded as the whole of his cultural critique.In fact,his cultural critique also includes the criticism of German classical idealist cultural concept.Idealism since Kant regards culture as pure spiritual entity totally independent from material world,and attributes culture into the field with real free property compared with material.Marx emphasizes material production as the premise of culture with the acknowledgement of free property of culture.Adorno inherits Marxist cultural concept of culture and adopts it in the critique of contemporary cultural industry.
