Abstract
Relationship between UHF signals and discharge magnitude is a difficult problem in partial discharge UHF detecting. In order to analyze the relationship between the testing results by the UHF method and the parameter by pulse current method,we compared the relationship between quantities and discharge magnitude of the UHF signal energy, quadratic integral, peak voltage,peak-to-peak value, and wave area from four typical defect models of partial discharge. Conclusions can be drawn that the highest coefficient of determination exists in the signal energy of UHF and the square discharge magnitude, while the best regression curve exists in the signal parameter of UHF and the discharge magnitude can be attained as well. The results can be used as references and guides for calibration of the PD UHF signal of the interior of electric device.
