Ornamental plant resources and their exploitation and protection in Qufu

The characters of ornamental plant resources were studied, based on the investigation of species of plant in Qufu. The result indicated there are abundant ornamental plant resources in Qufu city and can be divided into 3 types: ancient and famous trees, cultivated ornamental plants and wild ornamental plants. The most abundant type is wild ornamental plant resources (236 species, belonging to 150 genera and 63 familiers).Some suggestions are proposed to enhance the exploitation and protection of ornamental plant resources.
