Abstract

As a network security equipment,Firewall is applied to connect LAN with Internet more and more.The functions of firewall are to proxy services,to filter packets,to inspection intrusion from Internet.As one network device,the applications of firewall in building LANs are to connect LAN with Internet,to hide the outside ip address of firewall,to keep in the structure of Intranet,to redirect outside ip address to inside,to build VPN and so on.This article makes importance to elaborate for the application of firewall in the design of some net.
