Discussion and analysis of optical communication scheme for smart distribution network

Abstract

The paper analyzes the requirements of distribution network structure and service features of smart distribution automation system in the distribution communication network firstly, combines with practical application feasibility, optical communication solutions are proposed and analyzed. Then, by comparing EPON technology and fiber-optical Ethernet technology, the research is conducted on its adaptability for smart distribution automation system in the distribution communication network. Finally, the paper describes a practical application case of the city smart distribution network based on the fiber-optical ethernet technology.
