Analysis and Evaluation of Cited Papers Published in the Journal of Northwest Forestry University

Abstract
Cited papers publishing in the Journal of Northwest Forestry University from 1999 to 2002 were statistically analyzed by means of Excel. Indexes including number of paper cited, distribution of the authors, source journals, etc. Based on the data of papers cited in all journals collected in the information data system of Chongqing Weipu, their influence factor, annual index, etc. academical effect of the Journal of Northwest Forestry University in forestry journal was assessed. The results showed that the most of one paper cited is 6 times, one paper cited more than 3 times takes up 25.88%, the most papers of one author cited are 5 and papers of bisic forest science makes up 41.26%. The papers are mainly cited by core journals in forestry. This suggests that the Journal of Northwest Forestry University is a high academic journal with professional characteristics.
