Abstract
Serious floods occurred in succession in most areas of Yangtze River Basin during the main flood period of 2010,Three Gorges Reservoir plays a significant role in flood detention and storage for the mid-lower Yangtze River.For analyzing the characteristics of the storm-flood in 2010 and the influence of Three Gorges Reservoir on flood storage and discharge thoroughly,we focus on explaining the encounter process and recurrence period of reservoir inflow flood,and preliminarily define that the flood during the main flood period is a large regional flood in the upper-mid reaches of Yangtze River.By introducing the effects of flood detention and storage of Three Gorges Reservoir and its influences on hydrological situation of Yangtze River,we obtain valuable data of observation and analysis.
