Abstract

The delayed coking units of PetroChina and SINOPEC frequently experienced the formation of shot coke when the inferior crude is processed.Based on looking into literatures and industrical production,study of both the factors of formating shot coke and the measures of preventing shot coke,the shot coke formation and its impact are concluded.Some views preventing shot coke formation are diametrically opposed after both feedstock propertries and opperative conditions are synthetically study.These theoretical discussion and practice to prevent shot coke formation are worthy of being explored.
