Abstract
Terahertz gyrotron is one of the most promising high-power terahertz resources.The configuration and operating mechanism of the gyrotron are briefly introduced.The recent progress and trend are reviewed in detail.Some remaining critical technical problems are discussed and some suggestions are also presented.
