Abstract

Dan songs, generated a long time ago, are an important part of the age-old folk songs of the Zhuang people, and one of the Luoyue people's cultural heritages. Dan songs are categorized as day songs and night songs with many types of lyrics. Dan songs, with rich meaning, unique structure, and profound art, have been widely sung in different dialects by different ethnic groups in the Zuojiang River basin, and have been inherited and developed in China-Vietnam border areas.
