Abstract
The cyclohexyl butyrate was synthesized by esterification of butyric acid with cyclohexanol under microwave irradiation.Effects of catalyst, ratio of raw material, reaction time and amount of deaquation reagent had been investigated.Under the optimum reaction conditions:NaHSO_4 whose dosage was 3%(2.0 g) of the total mass of material as catalyst, the molar ratio of butyric acid to cyclohexanol 1∶1.7,microwave irradiation time 10 min,50 mL dimethyl benzene as water-carrying reagent, the rate of esterification was 91.8% and the yield was 90.1%.The reaction was 12 times faster under microwave irradiation than by conventional heating.
