Abstract
[Objective]To observe the clinical efficacy of self-made Xiaokuichangyan powder in the treatment of ulcerative colitis.[Methods]Eighty cases of ulcerative colitis patients were randomly devided into two groups.40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with sulfasalazine 4g/d+metronidazole 100 ml+dexamethazone 5mg retention enema, while the therapy group was treated with self-xiaokuichangyan powder retention enema.[Results]The effective rate were 77.5% and 97.5% in control group and treatment group, respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).[Conclusion]Self-made Xiaokuichangyan powder retention enema is effective to ulcerative colitis with improvement of ulcer healing.
