Abstract
The brazing ribbons and the as-cast filler metal of Cu68.5Ni15.7P6.5Sn9.3 with same composition are prepared by means of rapid solidification and ordinary casting method, respectively. Two kinds of filler metals are brazed with copper by vacuum brazing under 660,670,680,690℃ and the holding time is 5,10,15,20min.The differences of melting point, wettability and microstructure between the two filler metals are studied with DTA,XRD and EPMA.It is shown that the melting point of amorphous ribbons is lower than ordinary filler metal by 4.5℃ and its width of crystallizing is diminished by 3.5℃.The wettability of amorphous filler metal are better than that the ordinary filler metal. The metallurgy combination of filler metal with the base metal is increased by using the amorphous filler metal.
