Abstract
In view of the fact that the theory of water flooding displacement characteristic curves do not entirely apply to polymer flooding, the adaptability of five methods for polymer flooding are discussed in this paper. The results indicate that water flooding displacement characteristic curve is only suitable for blank water flooding phase and later water flooding phase of polymer flooding. When the tube method is employed to estimate production index, fast calculation and high precision can be achieved. The output degression curve method and normalization method are more suitable for short-run forecast.
