Abstract
The differences of the differentially expressed genes in patients with Graves disease(GD) and normal thyroid tissue were studied by cDNA microarray. Both the mRNA from GD and from the normal thyroid tissue were reversely transcribed to cDNA with incorporation of fluorescent dUTP(Cy 5 or Cy 3) to prepare for hybridization probes. The mixed probes were hybridized with the cDNA microarray, which was scanned for the fluorescent signals and showed differences between these two groups. All together, 80 differentially expressed genes had been screened in GD group and normal control group,in which 31 genes showed increased expression and 49 genes showed decreased expression. It concludes that cDNA microarray technique is a suitable method in screening the differentially expressed genes in tissues,and can be used for the understanding of pathogenesis in Graves disease.
