Abstract
The analysis result showed that the soil samples from vegetable growth in Huzhou suburb was generally safe, the average integration pollution index was 0.67,there were 64.7% of the soil samples without pollution,23.5% samples were almost non-pollution and 11.8% samples were light pollution. The main heavy metal pollutant was Hg,with a mean single pollution index of 0.74.The content of Cd,Cr,Cu,Hg and Pb in the topsoil was higher than in the subsoil.
