Mineral separation experiment of garnet kyanite schist and gneiss in Hebei province

Abstract
Kyanite is a kind of andalusite mineral with good fire resistance.Kyanite coexisted with mica,quartz and other minerals naturally.It becomes necessary for kyanite application to be purified.In this paper,kyanite schist and gneiss with some garnets in Hebei province was researched on a series of mineral concentration experiments.By tests,kyanite concentrate was obtained by flotation-magnetic separation with its refractoriness being higher than 1790 ℃,meeting GB/T7322-2007 and the chemical composition satisfies GB/T6900-2006.which provides data for development and utilization of this kind of kyanite.
