Abstract

Chinese characters are not simply a record of Chinese.In terms of origin,Chinese characters and the Chinese language have different sources but have joined in a common development.The meanings of Chinese characters are not exactly the same as those of the Chinese words but combine the meanings of form and the meanings of sound with a unity of linguistic and extralinguistic meanings.
