Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of electroacupuncture on the abilities of learning and memory of focal cerebral ischemia model rats. Methods Focal cerebral ischemia model rats were divided into sham, model and electroacupuncture groups. The changes of action were tested by Morris water maze. Results Electroacupuncture could decrease escape latency, and there was significant difference between model and electroacupunture groups. The swimming time of original platform quadrant, the time of first penetration, the time of 40 cm cutting splice, and the times of 40 cm cutting splice in electroacupunture group were better than those of model group(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusions Electroacupuncture can improve the ability of cognizing induced by focal cerebral ischemia injury, and increase the abilities of learning and memory.
