Translation and Study on I Ching of Western Missionaries and Research on Sinology of Figurism in Late Ming and Early Qing Dynasty

As the oldest classical Chinese book,I Ching attracted much attention of the western missionaries,and many translations and introductions about it appeared in late Ming and early Qing dynasty.Based on the translation and research on I Ching,the Figurist,mainly French missionaries,put forward that Confucianism has the same source with Catholicism,which relieved the tension between the governor of Qing dynasty and Roman Catholicism and push forward the research of Sinology in western countries.
