Abstract
Based on meshing characteristic of involute gears and theory of mechanical dynamics, a series of relationships among geometric parameters, impact velocity as well as maximal impact force of the gears in the meshing process were established. The impact velocity and impact force in transmission caused by the main factors, such as gear width, transmission ratio, loaded deformation of meshing teeth, work condition, and gear's structure, were analyzed.
