Abstract
The finite element model of offset deformation barriers and the model of a saloon car 100% frontal impact is established and also validated.According to rule ECE R94.01,the finite element model of 40% offset impact of this car is established;and then the simulation analysis on crashworthiness of 40% offset impact is carried out by use of the finite element;finally, the direction and countermeasures of improving crashworthiness are determined.According to the direction of improving vehicle 40% offset crashworthiness, the improved crashworthiness design is carried out from three aspects.Through the comparative analysis, the improved design enhances the crashworthiness of vehicle 40% offset impact to a certain extent.
