Abstract
Objective To evaluate the characteristics of MR imaging of hepatic lesions by using measurement of ADC values on the DWI imaging. Methods MR diffusion-weighted images were performed in 127 patients with hepatic lesions, ADC values of lesions and the ratio of the ADC values of lesion/liver were calculated. Results Average ADC values of hepatic lesions were as follows: hepatocellular carcinoma(0.99±0.26)×10 -3 mm 2/s,hepatic metastase(1.17±0.32)×10 -3 mm 2/s,hepatic cavernous hemangioma(1.81±0.42)×10 -3 mm 2/s,hepatic cyst(3.11±0.38)×10 -3 mm 2/s, cirrhosis of liver(0.92±0.25)×10 -3 mm 2/s,fatty liver(1.37±0.32)×10 -3 mm 2/s. The ratio of the ADC values of lesion/liver in hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatic metastases was 0.89±0.17and 1.27±0.21 respectively, there were significant different between both. Conclusion The quantitative study in hepatic lesions using ADC value, the ratio of the ADC values of lesion/liver, would improve the accuracy in diagnosing hepatic lesions.
