Composition Analysis for the Essential Oil of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.

Abstract

The paper is to study and analyse chemical compositions and physico-chemical property of the volatile oil of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.Identifying chemical functional groups and thin layer chromatography(TLC) and gas chromatograph mass spectrometer(GC-MS) are mainly used.After systematically analysing the chemical compositions of the volatile oil of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.by identifying chemical functional groups and TLC,it shows that the volatile oil of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.contains Phenols,ketone and unsaturated compound.We identified 29 chemical compositions of the essential oil of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.by GC-MS,mainly involving Pulegone(84.24%),p-Menthone(5.90%)and 3-Carvomenthenone(5.19%).This research and analysis result can provide reference standard for quality control of the volatile oil of Ziziphora clinopodiaides Lam.and helpful information for the exploitation of the volatile oil of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.
