SURGICAL TREATMENT OF GIANT HEPATIC HEMANGIOMA

Abstract

Objective To investigate surgical treatment of giant hepatic hemangioma and treat with complication.Methods Clinical data of 25 cases were summarized and analysed.Result Whichever segment of liver was infringed by tumor.The tumor diameters measured 2 cm to 40 cm.Single or coalescent operation mode was chosen for 25 patients.First porta vascular exclusion was used in 11 patienrs,modified normal temperature total hepatic vascular exclusion was used in 4 patients during the operation.The exclusion time ranged from 12 to 30 minutes.Intraoperative heamorrhage volume averaged 1200 ml,blood transfusion averaged 1450 ml.The postoperative SGPT raise in 15,fever in 8,right pleural effusion in 6,right subphrenic hydrops in 2,and one died.Conclusion Surgical operation is the safe and efficient method for giant hepatic hemangioma.The accurately and meticulous operation is the key for prevention and cure complication.
