Abstract
Using D72 solid resin as catalyst, butyraldehyde and ethylene glycol as raw materials, butyraldehyde glycol acetal was synthesized.Influence of reaction time, water carrier dosage, molar radio of butyraldehyde to glycol, amount of catalyst on the yield of reaction was investigated. The experiment results indicated that the optimum reaction conditions were as follows:molar ratio of n-butyraldehyde to glycol=1∶2,catalyst dosage 10%(mass ratio of catalyst to total reactants),cyclohexane 10 mL and reaction time 2.5 h,the yield of butyraldehyde glycol acetal was 94.2%.The catalyst can be reused.
