Survey of Cyperus Genus Resources in Hainan and Assessment of Their Nutritional Values

The survey and collection of Cyperus genus resources to Hainan Island was completed.A total of 22 species and 3 varieties were collected,of which 1 species was not recorded in flora of Hainan and the chemical components and nutritional values of 16 species were assessed.By subject function method,the nutritional value of Cyperus haspan Linn.-Cyperus halpan Linn.is the best,followed by Cyperus fuscus f.pallescens,Cyperus pangorei and Cyperus tenuiculmis.These resources had high value of development and utilization.The study could provide certain theory reference for Cyperus genus resource usage.
