Abstract

In analyzing the background of the current development of graduate education in China, this article elucidates that vigorous development of graduate education is of strategic significance for the social and economic development of the country and for rejuvenating the country through science and education. Based on a discussion of the existing problems and the sources in this respect, this article points out that cultivation of the ability of creative thinking and research should be the kernel of graduate education. Centered a-round this kernel, a few measures and proposals are offered.
