Abstract
Yin deficiency and dryness-heat are usually identified as the cause and mechanism of diabetes in traditional Chinese medicine,but other pathogenic factors are often neglected.This paper aims to discuss the pathogenesis of blood stasis in diabetes and its complications and the outcomes blood stasis often leads to.Also,it is proposed that blood-activating and blood stasis-removing drugs should be used based on syndrome differentiation during the treatment of diabetes.
