Abstract
The seismic behavior of HRB500 RC specially shaped column was tested through low cyclic loading experiments of six specially shaped columns with various axial compression ratios and stirrup ratios.The results of hysteretic characteristics were analyzed.The skeleton curve and the rigidity degradation curve were obtained based on the study of hysteretic curves.The bearing capacity,displacement,ductility and energy dissipation were also analyzed.The effective factors on hysteretic behavior of HRB500 RC specially shaped column were analyzed including the axial compression ratio and the stirrup ratio.With the decrease of axial compression ratio and increase of stirrup ratios,the deformation capacity and ductility of specimens are enhanced,the hysteretic characteristic is improved.The conclusions of HRB500 RC specially shaped column can give a reference for structural design.
