Abstract

【Objective】To assess effect of percutaneous intradiscal ozone injection combined with target collage-nase chemonucleolysis in the treatment of non-contained lumbar disc herniation.【Methods】 One hundred and four-ty-six patients were treated with CT-guided ozone combined collagenase therapy. All presented with clinical signs of lumbar disk nerve root compression, with CT and/or MRI evidence of disk herniation. And the size of the herni-ated dics is 5 mm at least.【Results】 By following up,we obtained a satisfactery outcome. On 1st and 3th month af-ter treatment, the overall efficacy was 94.48% and 93.79%.On 3th month after treatment, the size of the herniated disk reduced to (4.46±0.40) mm markedly of the followed patients. No severe complications were found throughout this study.【Conclusion】 Percutaneous intradiscal ozone injection combined with target collagenase chemonucleolysis is an effective and safe method for treatment of non-contaied lumbar disc herniation.
