Abstract
Object-oriented relational database design is an important part of o bjected-oriented software engineering. The mapping strategies from object model to relational database model are the core of object-oriented relational database design. Based on the typical examples being used in petroleum and gasoline stor age and transportation network management system , the mapping strategies from o bject model to relational database model are discussed. Application results show that it can quicken the software developing process with the using of object-o riented analytical and design method based on relational database model and is o f good economy and feasibility.
