Abstract
Objective To study the correlations between sexual behaviors and mental health, and to provide basis for mental health education and psychological counseling. Methods About 799 undergraduates were investigated on the psychological status and sexual behaviors. Results Among 799 undergraduates , there were 687 cases (85.98 % ) with masturbation and 376 cases (47.06% ) with caress and osculation, including 46 cases (5.76 %) with sexual intercourse. Sexual behaviors between the same gender were not found in the survey. There were 118 cases with mental symptom (14.77% ), and the incidence had no significant differences among sexual behavior group and no-sexual behavior group. The incidence of neurosis was 13.27 % (106/799). Conclusion There are many problems with undergraduates' sexual behaviors. High incidence was found in neurosis and mental symptom among them, but had no significant differences with sexual behavior.
