Abstract
TiO 2/glass films with nano-crystalline were prepared by sol-gel processing using tetrabutyl titanate as a precursor. XRD, AFM and thickness analysis indicate that TiO 2 phase is anatase. The grain diameter was in nanosized class, and the thickness of three layers was 200?nm. The sizes of particles in TiO 2/glass films can be effectively controlled by adjusting the calcination temperature. UV-VIS spectrum proved that Rhodamine B could be effectively degraded by the film catalysis. The photocatalytic activities of films were enhanced with decrease in the particle size, and were not effected by increase in the film thickness.
