Influence of Bridge Pier Form on Dynamic Characteristic of Continuous Rigid Frame Bridge

Abstract

Regarded Xinggou Continuous Rigid Frame Bridge on Xiyu Expressway as research object,in consideration of the effect of elastic restraint in side span bearing,the finite element program ANSYS was used to establish the overall spatial finite element calculating model of the bridge.Dynamic characteristics of the continuous rigid frame bridge with reinforced concrete tetrastyle bridge pier,the double thin wall hollow pillar,the frail wall hollow pillar and the alone column solid pillar were discussed.The calculation results indicate that four kinds of bridge self-vibration frequencies increase in turn.The expressions of bridge vibrations of the reinforced concrete tetrastyle bridge pier and the double thin wall hollow pillar are bridge pier curving primarily.The expressions of bridge vibrations of the frail wall hollow pillar and the alone column solid pillar are bridge floor curving primarily.Because predominant period of the seismic wave as well as the structure self-vibration characteristic are different,four kinds of structural dynamic responses are also different under different seismic wave actions.
