Abstract

Projectile penetration into concrete target was simulated by finite element software ANSYS-LS/DYNA 3D.Penetration trajectory and the failure characteristics of projectile penetration into concrete material were gained. The calculation result was in good agreement with the experimental data. The results show that the failure process of concrete can be well demonstrated by finite element code. The phenomena can't be observed in the test are revealed.Penetration depth and deflection of the penetrating missile body were estimated.
