Abstract
To investigate the distribution and population structure of commensal rodents in Leizhou urban area. Methods The rodent-like animals were captured by mouse trap in different habitats. According to the proportion by grading sample. Results A total of 339 rodent-like animals were captured and identified, which belong to 4 species of 3 genera, 2 families and 2 orders. The population structure were:Rattus flavipectus、Raltus norvegicus、suncus murinus and Mus mus culus. The rat density was 3.86 %. Rattus flavipeclus and Rattus norvegicus were the predominant species. Rattus norvegicus was dominant speies on the outside of city and in the resident areas. Conclusion Rattus norvegicus and Rattus flavipectus are the main vectors to be controlled in Leizhou urban areas.
