Abstract
Objective:To assess the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in carotid stenosis.Methods:Sixthteen patients with carodid stenosis underwent contrast-enhanced ultrasound and digital substraction angiography(DSA) contemporaneously,the diameter of stenosis in carotid was measured and the result between two methods was evaluated.Results:In this group,39 carotid stenosises were found by contrast-enhanced ultrasound image,of which 37 stenosises were diagnosed with both examinations,two stenosises were highly suspected as no carotid stenosis under-went Contrast-enhanced ultrasound.The sensitivity of Contrast-enhanced ultrasound was 100%,the specificity was 97.8%~99%,and the acaucacy was 97.9%~98.5%(K=0.928~1) in contrast-enhanced ultrasound craniocervical artery.Conclusion:Contrast-enhanced ultrasound has dsmonstrated the stenosis of craniocervical arteries with reliability and can take place of DSA.
