Abstract

Flocculation removal of reactive dyes by cationic polyelectrolyte(PDADMAC)was studied. The results show: suggested removal mechanism of reactive dyes with cationic polyelectrolyte was“polyelectrolyte complexation flocculation”. The removal efficiency was increased under the condition of high cationic density, high hydrophobicity or low molecular weight. Removal of reactive dyes having different color is different. The order of removal is Reactive Black K-BGReactive Red K-2BPReactive Yellow K-6G.
