Abstract
To make research on the central span closure schemes and the related key techniques for long span hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge,the Edong Changjiang River Highway Bridge with a main span of 926 m was taken as an example and studied.The structural force conditions and structural characteristics of the highway bridge were comprehensively taken into account and the closure scheme of loading was determined for the bridge through analysis of the temperature load,pushing force and local bearing capacity of the structure.In the process of the closure,the key techniques for adjusting the closure gap alignment,releasing the temporary restraint between the pylon and girder,pushing and setting of the stiffening frame were employed and the closure of the central span of the bridge was hence carried out in the controlled state all the time.The closure process of the central span was very smooth and the highly accurate closure was finally achieved.
