Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between levels of leptin and insulin in obese rats induced by high fat diet and obesity resistance. Methods:Fifty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into obesity induction group and normal control group, then the rats in the two groups were fed with high fat diet and basic diet for eight weeks, respectively. The change of body fat was observed.High-fat diet induced obese(DIO) rats and high-fat diet induced obesity resistant(DIO-R) rats were screened out according to the weight gain at the end of the eighth week, enzymatic method was used to detect blood lipids(including 4 indexes),ELISA was used to detect the levels of leptin and insulin, then the results were compared. Results:The levels of serum total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterin, leptin and insulin in DIO group and DIO-R group were significantly higher than those in normal control group. The body weight of rats in DIO group was significantly higher than those of rats in DIO-R group and normal control group, but there was no significant difference between DIO-R group and normal control group.Conclusion:DIO-R rats are less likely to develop leptin resistance and insulin resistance, but they are accompanied with metabolism disorder of blood lipids to a certain extent.
