Abstract

Xinjiang,known as an area mostly inhabited by ethnic groups in China,is endowed with unique geographical environment and beautiful natural scenery,along with the long history of different ethnic groups and harmonious combination of traditional customs,which give birth to the tourism cultural characteristics of the different regions in Xinjiang.The article makes an empirical study on the tourism economy of three ethnic areas,which are Kumul,an eastern city,Kashgar,a southern city and Ili,a northern city in Xinjiang with a view to promoting Xinjiang's tourism economic development and providing reference for other ethnic regions to develop their tourism economy.
