Abstract

Objective: To compare therapeutic effects of electro acupuncture and simple acupuncture on hemiplegia cerebral infarction. Methods: Eighty patients were randomly divided into an experimental group of 40 cases and a control group of 40 cases, and treated by electro acupuncture therapy and simple acupuncture respectively. The curative effects were evaluated after 3 courses of treatment (for 5 days every course of treatment). Results: There was no significant difference in the total effective rate (95% vs 87.5%,P0.05) between experimental group and control group. But the cured and markedly effective rate was 75% in the experimental group,45% in the control group, with a very significant difference between two groups(P0.01).Conclusion: The electro acupuncture therapy is super to simple acupuncture on cerebral hemiplegia.
