Abstract
The proper selection of infinitesimal elements is the key to calculate the rotational inertia of rigid body with infinitesimal method.Through analyzing the examples of selecting infinitesimal elements in the calculation of rotational inertia of common rigid body,this paper discussed the selection of three kinds of infinitesimal elements to excavate deeply its intrinsic educational value.
