Abstract
The development processes of China's sports tourism industry can be divided into four periods,that are the germinating period,the extensive period of resources-oriented development,the exploration period of diversified development and the period of high-speed growth development.The main problem in the development of sports tourism industry is that the lag of the theories and the situation facing both government failure and market failure form a comparative advantage path dependence.The future path of China's sports tourism industry should implement the government-led development strategies,use diversified development mode to develop the industry,promote sport tourism enterprises to form a soft power gradually,and enhance the micro-subject vitality of the industry.
