Abstract
A computer simulation model with two five- story elevators was designed by one PC and two PLCs in this paper. The PC can not only be used as a host computer in the monitor,but also display the interface of the two virtual five- story elevators running,among which one virtual elevator was respectively controlled by one PLC. VB6.0 software was used to compile a control and communications of simulation model of the elevators in the PC,and a special program software STEP 7- Mcro /WIN widely used in SIEMENs S7- 200 series PLC was used to design communication and control for the PLCs. The simulation results show that the design of the control system is feasible; the virtual elevator can be operated in the display interface. Moreover,the virtual elevator can run under the control of the PLCs,and every parameter can be checked in the interface. This system has the advantages of high economics,good interface and strong application
