Abstract
Objective To study the contents and distribution characteristics of organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) in turritella bacillum in coastal region of Zhejiang.Methods Turritella bacillum were collected from 10 counties(regions) of Zhejiang to detect the OCPs contents by GC-MS,and analyze the regional distribution characteristics by statistical method.Results The mean wet weight-based concentrations of total organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) in turritella bacillum ranged from 8.6 ng/g(wet weight,Xiangshan) to 26.1 ng/g(wet weight,Ruian).Significant discrepancy in total concentrations of organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) residues was apparent among different areas in Zhejiang.The wet weight-based concentration of organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) was highest in Ruian,lower in Fenghua,Shengsi,Putuo,Jiaojiang,and lowest in Daishan,Xiangshan,Sanmeng.Regional distribution characteristics of total concentrations of organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) were resembling with the respective organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) in turritella bacillum in the coastal region of Zhejiang.Conclusion The average contents of total OCPs in turritella bacillum exhibited various distribution levels among different regions.It is an ideal way to characterize the marine environment pollution situation through OCPs contents detection in turritella bacillum.
